Claire McArthur

Claire McArthur

Specialist Home Loan & Mortgage Adviser

I began my journey in financial services in 2008, joining a major bank as a teller. Fast forward 10 years and I was looking after a portfolio in business banking as a Commercial Manager. With a love of numbers and strong people skills, I had found my calling!

Always ready for a new challenge, I decided to step into my clients' shoes and become a self-employed adviser. So, in 2018, I took the leap and left the bank to start my own mortgage advisory business.

I continue to be enthusiastic about helping clients, from first-home buyers to everyday Kiwis & business owners, navigate the often-complex world of borrowing. I love connecting with people, understanding their goals, and guiding them toward financial solutions that open possibilities they may not have thought achievable. If they're not ready yet, I take pride in setting them on the right path for the future. So much of my role is about educating and supporting clients.

I'm a qualified Financial Adviser specialising in lending. After building a successful business from the ground up, I took another exciting step in July 2025 by merging with respected business partners to form The Advisory Limited, trading as SHARE NZ. This merger allows us to offer a wider range of services, including lending, insurance, and KiwiSaver. I'm also set on giving back to an industry that has certainly given me more support than I could have asked for to date!

Stephen Booth

I have been helping clients create and protect wealth since 1982. Together you and I put in place a programme of insurance and/or investment that does what you need it to do. This means it provides outcomes for you that allow you to relax in the knowledge your investment and insurance problems are sorted! I do this by utilising a wide range of investment, retirement and insurance options taking into account your specific situation, goals, needs and aspirations. I am a Financial Adviser assisting clients to accumulate and protect wealth.

Having previously been a Primary School Teacher I see my role as more of a coach helping my clients achieve their financial goals and dreams (investment & retirement planning) whilst ensuring that if they do not make it that far, or have health issues along the way they, their family, dependents and assets are all protected (insurance). I believe that my personal expertise is getting alongside my clients, thinking as they do all the while helping them get where they want to be in life, in a financial sense anyway.

I look forward to working with you.

Anne Zhou

I have always been passionate about equipping my customers with the right knowledge, insights, and tools to empower them to make informed decisions aligned with their financial goals. It matters deeply to me that they feel in control of their financial journey, whether that involves accessing debt funding or making investments to build a more secure future.

Having grown up in a migrant family, I witnessed firsthand how my parents and their siblings, starting with nothing, achieved financial stability for themselves and the next generation through focus and discipline — despite limited education and language barriers. This upbringing instilled in me a deep respect for small beginnings and for those who are willing to set a plan and commit to it. That respect continues to guide the way I serve and support others on their financial path.

With over 10 years of experience in the finance industry and most of that time in 2 of the major banks I am well experienced in the area of mortgage and business lending, both residential and commercial property investment as well as residential property developments. I offer expert advice to clients with complex structures with multiple entities and or income streams.

I hold a Master's of Digital Business with first class honours, Bachelor degree in Finance & Valuation and Property Management as well as the NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Residential Property Lending) Level 5 (V2).

Proof of his success as an Insurance Adviser is the countless referrals and recommendations he receive from friends and colleagues. His respectful, trusted and meaningful relationship building demeanour makes it easy to see why his clients become long-term friends.

Graeme's biggest professional accomplishment is securing successful outcomes for people who have had claims denied on every occasion through Claims advocacy negotiations.

His ideal clients are young families looking to set up their future Financial Security and seeking valuable information into how to gain that reward through a trusted adviser. He is passionate about relating the need of insurance to the young and healthy and then securing the best possible premium rates that can be fixed for many years to give budget certainty. Educating young healthy 'bullet proof' people into the benefits of future insurance is a challenge he relishes and is driven to achieve.

Graeme believes in continually increasing his knowledge through education and therefore can guarantee his clients the most up-to-date and relevant advice. He is complimented on consistently highlighting people worth, the worth of co-workers and family members as people forget that they are not invincible and cannot see the wood through the trees.

Aaron Baker

Aaron brings over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, where he has developed a deep understanding of risk management and client-focused advice. His career is built on a foundation of preparation and strategy, guiding him to deliver meaningful and practical solutions for his clients.

Aaron's philosophy centers on two key principles. The first is: “The will to win is important, but the will to prepare is vital.” This reflects his belief that while aspirations are important, success depends on having a clear plan and a strategy that anticipates both the good and the challenges that life can bring. He recognizes that unexpected events happen, and insurance plays a critical role in protecting against life's uncertainties.

The second principle is simplicity and precision—ensuring that advice is straightforward and tailored to deliver the Right Amount of coverage, to the Right Hands, at the Right Time.

Outside of work, Aaron values spending time with his family—his wife Jo and their two children, Hugo and Elliott. For Aaron, family is his “why”: the motivation behind his work, his dedication to staying healthy, and his commitment to helping clients secure their financial future.

Aaron looks forward to helping you manage your financial risks with a thoughtful and personalised approach.

Dave Parish

Hey there! I'm a Level 5 Qualified Financial Adviser with SHARE based in Hawkes Bay. I have been in the Insurance Industry for over 17 years in various roles from Business Development Manager to Adviser.

During my time in the corporate space, I've been fortunate to have experience assisting with product development, developing advice tools, and upskilling Advisers in both Personal & Business Insurance.

I've been able to see first hand what it means to have the right insurance proceeds going to the right hands (and not the right hands) when it's required during unplanned health events. Having Risk Insurance won't solve all your issues, but it will certainly give you options - both in terms of treatment along with helping you and your family financially survive a major health event. I really enjoy working with Personal Clients & Business Owners - both Commercial and Rural along with their trusted Advisers across the Hawkes Bay and out of town thanks to technology these days.

I take the time to understand your current situation and then overlay that with the existing cover you have in force. From there we can make a plan to keep and service what you have or add to/alter your cover to keep up to date with your situation.

By taking the first step to meet with me I will help put together a simple, understandable, and affordable Risk Insurance Plan. I find Risk Insurance exciting and everyone's situation is different, but I know not everyone feels the same so hopefully I can make the experience enjoyable, and we can have some fun chatting along the way.

I'm a proud father of two boys Ben and Charlie who keep me on my toes along with my amazingly talented wife Kylie who is a Graphic Designer and Artist.

I joined the financial services industry in 2019 following a claim I had made on my own insurance policy. At this time, I saw the value in having the correct insurance policy in place to ensure the financial stability of my family during an unexpected event and I wanted to do my part to ensure others had the same experience as me.

I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients from different backgrounds but tend to specialise in my work with Self-Employed and Rural members of the community as I feel I fit in these circles well. I am approachable, honest and have had experience on both sides of a claim and will ensure I am there for you and your family at claim time.

I pride myself on a strong work ethic and integrity while maintaining the highest level of advice for my clients. My efforts were acknowledged in 2021 when I was presented with the Fidelity Life emerging adviser award which recognises emerging talent in the industry.

Richard Thomas

Richard's sole driver is to help people get ahead by growing wealth, reducing debt, and protecting their families.

"I am here to help you get to where you want to go. It is all about having the right investments in place to accumulate wealth, and the right insurances so that if you get thrown a curve ball, we can help pick up the pieces."

Richard has been in financial services since 1983, and an adviser since 1990. He helped set up SHARE nationwide in 2008 and has been Chairman of the Board since 2009.

And after all that time he still gets a buzz hearing someone is doing well. He loves to meet people and understand their specific situation. With no two clients the same he wears a different hat for every appointment.

"They come from all walks of life. I go from talking to long-established farming families to new couples buying their first homes. I also work with retirees who still have investment funds that need to be managed."

And while no one wants to think the wheels are going to fall off it does happen. Richard says advising people on the right insurances and being there for them during the tough times is often the best part of the job.

Todd Allan

Hey there! I'm Todd Allan - Financial Adviser.

My life insurance journey began in 2002 when I stumbled upon it whilst finishing my Diploma in IT. Little did I know over 20 years later I'd become a huge advocate for the support the industry provides to the people of New Zealand. I've been involved in just about every aspect of Personal and Business insurance having worked previously in a variety of roles for 3 of NZ's largest Life Insurance companies.

I am the sole owner of my own business TBA Insurance Limited T/A SHARE and through my time on the corporate side of the fence I've been fortunate to have experienced how insurance helps people at every step of the way, and I have a strong foundation of the inner workings of an insurer and how to best help clients. Over my time in the corporate space I've experienced many claims, but my big turning point was when I spent 6 months off work thanks to a dodgy one way valve in my oesophagus, thankfully I had Income Protection insurance which kept money coming in the door, the bills paid, and the lights on while I recovered and got back to eating steaks again. This experience whilst horrible at the time reinforced why I love doing what I do, and just how much insurance can help.

As an Insurance Adviser, I get to put all my knowledge to work to help clients find the insurance options that are right for them, protecting them to keep forging on to reach their own financial goals, and providing a helping hand when the time comes to make a claim - having gone through this first hand I know what is needed when you're not in a position to think about it yourself.

I've spent all of my Life in Auckland, barring a couple of years living in London. I am not a first time dad and fill as much of my time as I can helping my son uncover his new world. From getting out an about exploring beaches and the awesome bush walks we have on our Waitakere door step, to trying things like lemon for the first time….it's an awesome experience for all of us.

My focus for clients is to keep insurance simple. It's an industry that loves jargon, and complicated products and processes, having me in your corner to help simplify this at every step of the way is what I do best!
